Quick Trip!
We have just returned from another trip for my husband's place of employment. When we retired we had the dream of traveling-but on someone else's dime (dollar if you include inflation!) so off we went this week-- from OHIO through WVA,VA,NC,SC,GA,TN,&KY over a 2 day period! Quick trip but exciting just the same.
We are huge 'Smithsonian' Channel fans, we saw alot of places that have been on 'Areial America' one of our favorite shows!
We had a fun time and can't wait for our next trip!

Family Dinner
Tonight we had a 'Family Dinner' with 2 sisters-in-law and my husband's mother at our favorite mexican restraunt! It was an enjoyable time and I got to stop in at one of my favorite craft shops! Can't drive that far for only one thing!

Family Reunion
Today was our 51st Family Reunion! It was nice to see President D (who was announced Cancer in Remission! PTL!) and all 100+ members of the family who showed up. I would guess 50 to 75 members unaccounted for! Still, a fun time for all who were there, as usual, the food was in abundance and enjoyed by everyone! Uncle B (as each elder brother passes this 'honor' moves on down the birth chain) presided over the 'Penny Toss', started about 30 years ago, by Grandpa H--"only for the little ones", he always said. Lots of memories were shared by all who were there!

Time Passes Quickly
I can't believe it's been soooo long since I have been on my blog! July has always been a super busy month for our family!
It has been so hot here- 4th of July was spent inside, until the sun set, my husband and I went outside to watch the fireworks from our pool. The water was tepid-a little cooler than bath water! We watched the fireworks displays from town, the neighbors(they were gorgeous!) and Kings Island!
Next couple of weeks we will be getting ready for our yearly Family Reunion, with members traveling in from other states, we are praying for safe trips for all our family!
Once again,it is time for our son to start the process of registering for another year of College. Hopefully this will be the last year! The school is transitioning from quarters to semesters starting in August. I hope the year goes well for him! Good Luck, Son!
