Blame fb!

I really blame facebook for my absence on my blog! Busy with this house (to big! I am ready for a condo!) Seems We have not stopped since Ham Vention! Work at the air base seems to be picking up, but, it will never be like it was before DHL abandoned Wilmington... Our hearts go out to the residents of Oklahoma for all the damage and heartbreak they have suffered during and after the tornadoes. We have family out ther and the tornadoes struck just 2 miles from their home. Once again God spared them and our prayers were answered. Friends of ours celebrated 40 years of marriage on the 10th of June, with a wonderful dinner, hosted by their daughters. It's hard to believe we are going on 33 years of marriage this year. With this being the 150th year anniversary of the Civil War, lots of activities are planned across the nation! We are excited and hoping to attend a few of them! Who would have thought I would would be a follower? I Love it! My son is into WWII-and just inherited a massive book collection (bookcase included!)from a retired friend of our family, my husband enjoys reading about all wars and government functions, so these books are right up his alley! There are books I enjoy as well! Today is the first offical day of summer! Pool is ready and has been used a few times already! Next week little Devon will bring her mommy (Lori) out to swim, they were out yesterday for a visit,it was the first time I have seen them since little Miss Devon was born! They recently moved back in the state of Ohio-I am happy to have them home! Next up is a 4th of July party at our friend TJ's, should be a bang up time! (Pun intended!!) Hopefully- I will keep up alittle more on my blog, the second half of the year!

TROY, during this Easter Season- you are not forgotten.....

We will have a special Easter this year-a long time friend of ours is joining the Cathloic Church. We are happy for him and wish him much happiness in this new life. I'd love to give him my Nun Doll collection,but I don't think he'd appreciate it! So, I guess it will be a traditional gift instead! Congratulations!

Sooo.....COLD! Sometimes it's good to have a 3-car garage after all!

Happy New Year! I have neglected my Blog for Facebook! I am hoping for a wonderful year for everyone(including myself!). My New Year's resolutions are to get bills paid off! (So more can be created...). We are welcoming new members to our family this year-either by birth or marriage, so we have alot to look forward to! I am wishing everyone a great year!

Thankful

I am so thankful that Thanksgiving is over and people can stop complaining about how all the stores are rushing the season! In my experience (in retail), customers started asking for Christmas Ornaments in AUGUST! They would give them for gifts or wedding presents for loved ones. I wish that everyone who complains, would just realize, other's have reasons for doing what they do. Retail agents have a job to do-it's to serve the public and fulfil the wishes of their customer if they can (that's the reason the customer comes back to that establishment!) So now that Christmas is on it's way, I wonder what people will find to complain about?!!

My son will miss the last NASCAR race of the season! It's his girl's birthday-HAPPY Birthday Amy! Greg I will let you know how the race goes!
